Team Objective

Redefine and rewrite the public narrative of Timeline0 and Smartup Zero so that every public-facing document consistently presents the project as an open socio-technical experiment in Collective Intelligence, inspired by the work of Doug Engelbart.

The objective is not to change the underlying project, but to align its communication with its actual purpose: researching how humans can become measurably better at solving complex problems together through constitutional governance, transparent organizational memory, and open digital infrastructure.

Why: The current website largely explains what SmartupOS is and how it works, but it does not consistently communicate why the project exists.

As Smartup Zero enters the Validation Phase and begins approaching universities, incubators, research institutes and funding organizations, the public narrative becomes critical infrastructure.

Potential partners should immediately understand that Smartup Zero is:

  • an open scientific experiment;
  • a research program into Collective Intelligence;
  • an evolution of Doug Engelbart's vision of augmenting human intellect;
  • not another collaboration platform, DAO, cooperative, or AI project.

A clear narrative increases credibility, improves funding opportunities, attracts research partners, and creates a coherent identity that all future Smartups can build upon.

How: Rather than rewriting isolated pages independently, first establish a single communication framework that defines the project's core narrative.

Every page should answer the same sequence of questions:

  1. Why does this project exist?
  2. What problem does it investigate?
  3. What hypothesis is being tested?
  4. How does Smartup Zero function as the experiment?
  5. How does SmartupOS function as the research infrastructure?
  6. How are results measured and published?

All website content should be reviewed against this framework.

The narrative should consistently emphasize:

  • Collective Intelligence
  • Open scientific experimentation
  • Reproducibility
  • Constitutional governance
  • Transparent organizational memory
  • Digital sovereignty
  • Doug Engelbart's legacy

while reducing emphasis on software features as primary selling points.

What: * Establish the Smartup Hypothesis.

  • Define the central research question.
  • Define the project's long-term research vision.
  • Introduce Doug Engelbart as the intellectual foundation.
  • Clearly distinguish Collective Intelligence from Artificial Intelligence.

Website Rewrite

Review and update every major public section including:

  • Homepage
  • Timeline
  • Thesis
  • Constitution introduction
  • Smartup Zero pages
  • SmartupOS overview
  • About pages
  • Research pages
  • Landing pages
  • Navigation labels where necessary

Messaging Framework

Create standardized wording for:

  • One-sentence description
  • Short project description
  • Medium project description
  • Long project description
  • Funding narrative
  • University narrative
  • Incubator narrative
  • Media narrative

Communication Assets

Produce reusable copy for:

  • Grant applications
  • Open Collective
  • GitHub/Forgejo
  • README files
  • Presentation slides
  • Future Smartup websites

📊 Details

  • Phase: pre-validation
  • Parent Objective: 5_0

🎯 ADM Structure

  • ⚔️ Attacker: 3_1 (responsible for execution)
  • 🛡️ Defender: 3_7 (responsible for quality/oversight)
  • 🤖 Midfielder: Engelbot (coordination)
